WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

We want you to chose an area where you feel you will help out best.

The areas/divisions available are:

• PATROL You will be the eyes and ears for the police as you patrol the city. You will provide citizens the link to the police as needed. You will provide a watchful eye for the citizens of El Centro.
• TRAFFIC You will write parking citations, tow abandoned cars, provide traffic control at accidents and special events.
• DISPATCH Data input and assist with resource services.
• ADMINISTRATIVE/CLERICAL You will do data entry, filing, typing , answering calls, or assist those citizens coming to the police department for assistance.
• INVESTIGATIONS You will assist the investigators with various cases involving phone calls and business contacts. You will also go out in the field to help secure crime scenes. You will assist with surveillance in problem areas.
• TRAINING You will assist with training citizens, officers and community partners in various areas.
• CRIME PREVENTION You will help with neighborhood watch, the crime tip newsletter , home/business security assessments, and/or educating the community.
